In Episode 3 of the SmarterMSP Podcast, we discussed common MSP website mistakes that can hurt the sales efforts of service providers. In our latest episode, we turned our focus to managed security services, including zero-trust network access (ZTNA), which is quickly becoming a layer of protection used to bolster a security services offering.
We were once again joined by guests, this time welcoming Bob Andrews of Computer Logistics Corporation and Brian Babineau of Barracuda MSP. Bob Andrews is the CEO of Computer Logistics, an MSP based in California that has provided mission-critical enterprise and government IT support throughout California since 1986. In his role, Bob leads Computer Logistics’ Client Services and executive team with extensive experience in the Managed IT Services Industry.
Brian Babineau is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Barracuda MSP. Brian is responsible for Barracuda’s managed services business, a dedicated team focused on enabling MSP partners to easily deliver affordable IT solutions to customers. On the SmarterMSP Podcast, Bob and Brian shared their extensive experience and insights on how ZTNA and other security technologies can strengthen the security offering of MSPs across the community.
The fit of ZTNA into an MSP security stack
Bob and Brian relayed their experiences and conversations that they have had with MSPs and SMBs over the course of the pandemic and the mass transition to remote work setups that ensued as a result. Both guests illustrated the sophisticated cyberattacks that they’ve observed emerge in the same timeframe and what impacts all of these changes have had on service providers in the channel.
Brian and Bob also shared their individual perspectives on how ZTNA solutions can fit into an MSP’s security offering, along with the capabilities and value that ZTNA offers in its own right for service providers.
